Cinema Technology Community (CTC), the not-for-profit independent trade organisation has released a restart guide aimed at providing guidance for exhibitors turning their attention to their re-opening strategies post Covid-19.

The guide which is a follow-up to CTC’s Covid-19 Closure technology guide is freely available on the CTC web site and covers elements including auditorium equipment, spare parts, product lead times, sanitation and cleaning, staffing requirements including PPE, social distancing measures, automation and digitisation of processes, audience re-engagement and marketing strategies.

“The leisure sector and indeed the cinema industry will be significantly transformed in a post Covid-19 world and this guide is designed to act as a stimulus to help exhibitors think about the various elements involved in re-opening and the importance of keeping their staff and customers safe.  Even though re-opening may still be a few months away in some territories, with the green shoots of hope starting to emerge around the world, now seems a good time to start planning for eventual re-openings,” explains Richard Mitchell, President of CTC.

This new guide continues to build upon CTCs support of the global cinema industry which recently saw the organisation create a free 6-month Community Membership which continues to attract significant attention.

Since launching the Community Membership programme, CTC has welcomed on board over 150 new members in 31 countries each receiving and initial six-month free access to all members-only content including presentations, white papers, handbooks, test materials, podcasts, magazines, over ten hours of video content including CTC’s complete Women in Cinema series and the CTC technology forum aimed at enabling the cinema community to seek advice, share knowledge and expertise and remain connected by sharing words, pictures and videos.

CTC remains committed to supporting the global cinema industry during this difficult period and remains positive about seeing our industry once again welcoming movie-goers back to the best shared experience available.
